Work / Mad Mecanix

Made for the neighborhood.

When I designed the Mad Mecanix logo and signage, I worked to create something that felt like it belonged to the neighborhood it serves. I pulled inspiration from the shop’s roots in classic and race car restoration while ensuring the overall design catered to its customer base and didn’t feel out of place in the neighborhood.

Project Overview
Company Mission
To get your car fixed-up and back on the road as quickly as possible.
The Challenge
When the shop owner approached us, he was dealing with an old, sun-bleached storefront banner that was hurting new business. Instead of getting a reprint of the old banner, he wanted something that felt more inline with the shop as well as a new logo and business cards to match.
Our Collaboration
Working with the shop owner and print shop, Custom Print Now, I created a logo that pulled from the shop’s roots, designed brand-new signage and business cards featuring copy in both English and Spanish, printed and installed the new banner, and pressed new, branded employee uniforms.
